About this episode

ntroducing: Crate Culture
A Radio Show Hosted by @lucydafirst on Global DJs Radio.

Join Lucydafirst as she digs through crates of vinyl, cd, and more for the best mixes from around the world.
Crate culture is inspired from the art form of searching and finding music. Before the digital Era, DJs would have to memorize where each track was on each LP. When crate digging for new sounds, there were no options to listen to the song at the record shop, often DJs would have to hope by looking at the cover that the music would be what they need and like. Digging and sorting through crates became a familiar task all DJs can relate to. At the very least, the feeling of peeling away the plastic of a freshly purchased CD is an exciting feeling Lucydafirst aims to present through these series. Enjoy every first Monday of the month at 8pm MDT (Edmonton, Alberta 🇨🇦)

Alejandro Sánchez better known as KAD Born in Asturias in 1992 began his passion for electronic music from a very young age listening to sets by artists such as Óscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, Cristian Varela or Dj Pepo among many others.

At the age of 16, he decided to buy his first team and start DJing at private events, birthdays, etc.

But it is not until 2011 when he is offered to be a resident of a small local in his hometown "Avilés" and that is where he begins to show his music to the public with his previous aka "Jandro aka Rayden" and expands his events by visiting venues like hypnosis el dorsia or el zero in Gijón

He is also the organizer of the first solidarity event in favor of children with cancer in Asturias "Galván Fest" which featured artists such as Paula Cazenave, A.professor or Dj splif among others

After years of standing he decided to get into music production with his new name KAD, publishing on national labels such as Crazyplugrecords, Ibérico Techno label or Wafo music and also on international labels such as SMR Underground or Emperor Recordings among others.

Currently he is part of the KNP TECHNO MUSIC collective and in his sets we can find dark techno but with a lot of force.
