What Kind of Salesperson Are You? You Are Who You See Yourself As

About

What if you are not bad at selling yourself, and the real problem is the picture you have been carrying of what a salesperson is supposed to look like?I was in a session at work watching a senior sales rep talk about the traits that make someone good at this job. What stayed with me was not her list. It was that she saw herself as a salesperson. No question in it, no doubt about it. She said it the way you say your own name. I have been selling for most of my working life and I am not sure I have ever said it about myself with that kind of ease. This episode is about what happens when you let an outside picture become an inside question, and about the frame that finally got me out of it. There is more than one kind of salesperson, in exactly the way there is more than one kind of business. McDonald's and the Four Seasons both sell, both are excellent, and neither one could run on the other's model for a single day. I had been running a Four Seasons and comparing myself to a McDonald's.CONNECT WITH THE SHOW:Website: https://1800goaldigger.comInstagram: @1800goaldiggerVoice messages and stories: hello@1800goaldigger.comIf this episode resonated with you, send it to one woman who needs to hear it.
