Introduction of KVK Pravara Community Radio
Due to group dynamics and use of different ICT tools, KVK outreach among the people was increased. But there was huge demand for information and knowledge network among the rural population. To fulfill the present need of knowledge network, KVK started KVK Pravara Community Radio (CRS) on 1st October 2009. This concept and idea emerged during the year 2004, but due to unavailable policy and financial support, it has taken five years to bring idea into real story. Ministry of Agriculture under support to State Extension Programme for Extension Reform Scheme was launched during 2008 and this is the first KVK who started CRS under this scheme. To run the CRS, KVK established very good infrastructure and facilities so that good quality of programmes can reach up to maximum population.
