Umoya FM was found in July 2020 by two highly driven individuals, MR B Ngobese and MRS N Ngobese. We came from a humble beginning in the field of broadcasting since we started as online radio and decided to take a different venture in frequency modulation. Umoya fm is registered as youth and women empowerment and 100% owned by a lady named Nonhlanhla Ngobese. Since we are coming from a mixed-race society we decided to register as 60% English and 40% isiZulu . We play 70% national music and 30% international music, and we also cater 60% talk, 40% music. Currently, Umoya is sponsored by the most well known traditional leader who is Dr Ngobese initially being established. We are situated in Kwa-Zulu Natal, located in a small town called Waterloo, in Verulam. Our landscape address is about 10 kilometres away from King Shaka Airport and 12.7 kilometres from Umhlanga, Gateway theatre of shopping mall.
Our frequency 101.9FM has a broadcasting license from ICASA, which covers almost all parts of the province of KwaZulu Natal,at 32A Woodpecker road, Waterloo 4319
