The Park
Whilst Midday ambling in your local park you notice an abandoned gym bag.
> examine bag
The bag appears to be open.
> look in bag
The bag contains dozens of cassette tapes.
> examine cassette tapes
The cassettes bare various markings, most common amongst them being the words ‘Master’ and ‘Demo’ and appear to reference the years between 1995 and recently.
> take bag
Suspecting these visibly aged and roughly handled items to be four track recordings you glance about briefly before lifting the bag to your shoulder.
> go to garage studio
You walk to your garage studio at the back of your humble house. lurching under the weight of the bag.
Garage Studio
Your garage studio contains a small wooden desk and chair. On the desk is a Yamaha MT-50 fourtrack machine, a desk lamp, an ashtray, a half-full box of John Player Blue cigarettes, a yellow bic lighter and a pair of old headphones with a black 1/4" adapter on the end. The headphones are currently connected to the fourtrack output.
> examine Mt-50
She’s a beut' alright. The active red power light is visible under a thin film of dust.
> open bag
You open the bag. A musty fragrance raises out into the still air of the garage.
> get a tape
Having no way to execute any particular preference you grab a tape.
> put tape in MT-50
You put the tape in the machine
> put on headphones
You don the cans. The sponge covering is missing on the right side, exposing the sharp uncomfortable plastic.
> Press play
With fingers poised over the four volume controls, pan pots and eqs you attempt a mix...
