Radio Houtstok is a community radio broadcasting in Afrikaans to the Western Cape on the frequency 100.6 FM and live streaming globally through the internet.
The station first went live in 2010, becoming the first Afrikaans-community radio station in the Cape. It faced various issues and changes on its frequency in the following years resulting in an off-air period. It 2018, it hit the airwaves once again now officially using the frequency 100.6 FM.
Radio Houtstok offers a great music selection with the best of Afrikaans and English latest releases, Golden Oldies from the 70s, 80s and 90s, Country music hits and the best classics from the Springbok Radio era. Its line-up also features entertainment shows and news reports with the latest local, national and international developments.
