CJFM 95.9 Virgin Radio Montreal -
CJFM-FM commonly known as Virgin Radio 95.9 is a commercial radio station broadcasting from Montreal, Quebec. The station is owned and operated by Bell Media and it broadcasts a Top 40/CHR format. Its omnidirectional antenna is located atop Mount Royal and its studios are at the Bell Media building at 1717 René-Lévesque Boulevard East in Montreal.
The station was aired for the first time on October 1, 1962. Through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s it had several formats from easy listening, album-oriented rock and adult contemporary music to Top 40-leaning hot AC in 1992. By July 2016, CJFM had changed its format to Top 40/CHR, putting it in line with the "Virgin Radio" branding that Bell Media has been expanding in Canada.
