Brigada News FM DXYM 89.5 General Santos Referred to as the flagship station, DXYM 89.5 Brigada News FM Gensan is the harbinger of what is now a wide grid of Brigada News FM stations spread across the Philippines. It is reputed as the no. 1 News FM station in the Soccsksargenregion. Then an emerging tri-media company, Brigada acquired on October 18, 2009, a mothballed FM radio station in General Santos City and reformatted it to broadcast a mix of news and public affairs with the usual fare of FM music. The interesting result – public affairs program in stereo sound, which drew a wide listenership and allowed DXYM 89.5 Brigada News FM Gensanto rank no. 2 in an official KBP survey a year after. The station has since evolved and was fitted with state-of-the-art 10-kilowatt FM radio transmitter. It is located at Brigada Complex, NLSA Road, Purok Bayanihan, San Isidro, General Santos City.
