About the station

RADIO SILENCE 2 : MADCHESTER 1988 1992

Madchester was a musical and cultural scene that developed in the English city of Manchester in the late 1980s, closely associated with the indie-dance scene. Indie-dance (sometimes referred to as indie-rave saw artists merging indie music with elements of acid house, rave music, psychedelia and 1960s pop. The term Madchester was coined by Factory Records' Tony Wilson with the label popularised by the British music press in the early 1990s.

This station is designed not only to play rock music, but to review the different rock trends from 1978, when the post-punk era began, to date. Join us in this cultural and informative adventure on the history of rock in the last 40 years.
