Andrew Abram has worked in some of the world's most upscale hotels, and worked alongside some of the most well known names in hospitality. Abram has worked all over South East Asia having worked in Hong Kong, Thailand Indonesia previously,  with multiple positions at different Raffles properties, and Mandarin Oriental and more.  Here as General Manager of one of Jakarta's most loved five star hotels, The Mandarin Oriental, in a fascinating conversation with Renae,  he opens up about launching the glittering brand Dubai as the first General Manager of the prestigious Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, and about working alongside Jamie Oliver during his time working in London. He talks about life as a General Manager living full time within a five star hotel, and compares luxury hotels and travellers in the West with the East. He also exposes the challenges and joys of living and working in the middle east, as well as Asia. He confirms there is a super wealthy echelon of South East Asian society as depicted in the film Crazy, Rich Asians, who do look for the ultra high net worth experiences within Asia as well asian Europe. He says he sees a huge future in Indonesia, as it is such a fantastic tourist destination.
