Chance: How do you reach people who don’t share the same values? Tom: You make the issues relevant for them. You tap into values that they have, you listen with the goal of understanding where they are coming from and you find the common values you share.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. To enact change, we must think systemically. We need to disrupt the broken system.
Climate grief - we need to go through the grieving process and then support each other to find meaning in the suffering and come together to make positive changes.
Citizens Assemblies are the closest thing we’ve got to a silver bullet to address something as huge as the climate crisis.
