Are you capable of maintaining a relationship, or just a piece?

We keep trying to get the “why,” but don’t want to look at the “who!” Maybe your character doesn’t allow you to maintain anything but a piece. Maybe you aren’t maintaining the relationship properly and never mentioned that you never will.
