Levantine Arabic:

‏جوعان جوعانة جوعانين 

Ameera, when are you usually hungry?

When I get out of school.

OK so you can say:

‏بكون جوعانة لما أطلع من المدرسة 

2- Thirsty

‏عطشان عطشانة عطشانون 

Levantine Arabic, almost the same:

‏عطشان عطشانة عطشانين

So Ameera when do you get thirsty?

When I play in the sun a lot.

OK so you can say:

‏بكون عطشان لما العب بالشمس كتير 

3- To feel hot

‏حران  حرانة حرانون

Levantine, Arabic:

‏شوبان شوبانة شوبانين 

So when do you feel hot, Ameera?

When the AC is not working.

‏بكون شبانة لما التكييف ما بيشتغل

4- To feel cold

‏بردان بردانة بردانون 

Levantine, Arabic:

‏بردان بردانة بردانين

So when do you feel cold Ameera?

When the AC is too high.

So you can say:

‏بكون بردانة لما التكييف يكون كتير عالي

5- Confused:

‏محتار محتارة محتارون

Levantine Arabic:

‏محتار محتارة محتارين

So Ameera… when are you confused?

When I have a math problem that I do not know. 

So you can say:

‏بكون محتارة لما يكون عندي مسألة رياضيات ما بعرفها

6- Scared.

‏خائف خائفة خائفون

Levantine Arabic:

‏خايف خايفة خايفين

So Ameera when are you scared?

When I go on a big waterslide.

So you can say:

‏بكون خايفة لما بروح في زلاجة مائية

1. **What's your name?** In Arabic, you can ask a man, "ما اسمُكَ؟" (masmuka?), or a woman, "ما اسمُكِ؟" (masmuki?). To answer, simply say "ʾismī" followed by your name³.

2. **Where are you from?** When talking to a man, you can ask, "من أين أنت؟" (min ayna anta?). For a woman, it's "من أين أنت؟" (min ayna anti?). To respond, say "أنا من نيويورك" (ana min New York) if you're from New York⁴.
