#TheAlexWay 7 | Interview with MLS Next Head Coach and Former Pro Soccer Player Luis Swisher

On this week's episode, I was joined by St. Louis Scott Gallagher SC MLS Next Head Coach and Director of Coaching Luis Swisher. We discussed  his background as a former professional soccer player for his Guatemala men's national team. We also talked about Luis' coaching journey in the United States as a Guatemala international. Luis was kind enough to share more about the wisdom he has acquired throughout the past decade while coaching and developing youth in different states.

Luis Swisher is originally from Guatemala. As a former professional soccer player, Luis played for seven different teams in the Guatemala National First Division league. Luis holds the record of being the first Guatemalan defender to play in Europe and first Central American to play in the Polish League Ekstraklasa (Polonia Warszawa).  Furthermore, Luis holds 40 caps with Guatemala's U19 - u23 Youth National Teams and 23 caps with the Guatemala's Men's National Team. Today, Luis is man with a vision to coach professional soccer in the United States.
