Tara Erickson & Roxy Striar react to Train to Busan (2016), the acclaimed Korean zombie horror thriller directed by Yeon Sang-ho (Seoul Station, Peninsula). The film stars Gong Yoo (Squid Game, The Silent Sea) as Seok-woo, a father traveling with his daughter Soo-an (Kim Su-an – A Little Princess) on a high-speed train to Busan when a sudden viral outbreak unleashes chaos.
Along the way, they join other passengers fighting to survive, including fan-favorite Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee – The Roundup, Eternals) as tough yet big-hearted Sang-hwa, Jung Yu-mi (Kim Ji-young: Born 1982) as his pregnant wife Seong-kyeong, and Choi Woo-shik (Parasite) as a young baseball player. Kim Eui-sung (The King) rounds out the cast as the ruthless CEO Yon-suk.
Iconic moments include the train station outbreak, Ma Dong-seok’s heroic fight scenes, the dark tunnel battles, and the tear-jerking finale that made the movie a global sensation. Blending adrenaline, heart, and humanity, Train to Busan remains one of the most powerful and emotional zombie films ever made — a modern classic that transcends its genre.
