Roxy Striar & John Humphrey react to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), the thrilling action-adventure mystery sequel directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). The film stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Tropic Thunder) as Sherlock Holmes, once again blending razor-sharp intellect with unorthodox heroics, and Jude Law (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Captain Marvel) as the ever-loyal Dr. John Watson, now torn between friendship and his new marriage. Jared Harris (Mad Men, Chernobyl) delivers a chilling performance as Professor James Moriarty, Holmes’ intellectual equal and moral opposite, whose sinister plot threatens all of Europe.
With its stylized action, sharp humor, and impeccable chemistry between Downey Jr. and Law, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows remains a masterclass in clever filmmaking and blockbuster storytelling.
