Why I Keep Naming the White Man — Because He Wrote the Rules

The Real America Podcast | Hosted by Elodia Reyna Rojas

About

This episode explains why I keep saying “the white man.”

It’s not a generalization. It’s a historical fact.

The white man wrote the rules that shaped the systems we still suffer under today—rules about land, labor, immigration, women’s rights, crime, healthcare, and more.

We break it down issue by issue:

• Immigration: Who gets to stay, who gets denied, and why families from Latin America wait decades while Europeans get fast-tracked.

• Criminal Justice: Why Black and Brown people fill prisons while white-collar criminals walk free.

• Women’s Health: Why our pain is ignored, why our bodies are regulated, and why women—especially Black and Brown—are still dying in childbirth.

• Drug Policy: How the same drug gets different sentences depending on who’s holding it.

• Land and Power: Why redlining, stolen land, and gentrification are built into the law.

This system isn’t broken.

It was designed this way.

If we’re going to change it, we have to be willing to name who built it.

Because the truth is this:

The white man didn’t just inherit power. He wrote it into law.
