Spain’s dictator Francisco Franco died 50 years ago, but today his fascist ideology is viewed favorably by far too many Spaniards. We'll play some stirring songs from the Spanish Civil War when "premature anti-fascists" from the U.S. and other countries went to Spain to defend democracy. My friend Tim Simmers will recite his poem about a frightening time in Spain while Franco still ruled the country.
