Husband, father of five children, Scottish of Irish background, honorary Palestinian, Iraqi, Syrian, Egyptian… Friend of Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Benazir Bhutto, Yasser Arafat, Tariq Aziz. Trembling with indignation at any injustice, anywhere.
Sounds like a character from a book or film but he's the real deal not always everyone's favourite person but he says what he sees and he stands by it now isn't that a change from the politicians we have today.
