A little bit about Adam in case you’re new here, missed Adam’s last episode where we debuted his testimony and federal court case, or just need a recap!

Born in 1988 and raised by a single mother in Tucson, Arizona, he entered kindergarten in the 1990s. There he was pulled from class and taken to the library for screening into the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program. Officials presented it as simple enhanced curriculum—aptitude tests, Zener cards, headphones, and darkened side rooms. What followed, in his testimony, was far more complex. He recalls being taken off campus even at that early age, often on special buses that looked different from regular school buses, under the repeated explanation that these were just field trips or part of his normal education.

He transferred schools in an effort to escape what he did not yet understand. Across those years the pattern continued. Large portions of his childhood remained locked away as “inky black pools of nothingness,” punctuated only by fragments whose full weight he would not grasp for nearly three decades. Childhood drawings, medical records, and later official correspondence would eventually form part of the mosaic he presented to authorities.

Nearly thirty-two years passed before a single video—tying trauma-based mind control to the GATE program—cracked the silence. Memories returned not as a tidy narrative but as a flood. Adam did not wait for permission to treat them as real. He filed extensive Privacy Act requests with agency after agency, asking for records of programs he believed had used him as a child. What came back was delays, “unusual circumstances,” national-security language, reworded questions, and files that never arrived. Instead of folding, he widened the fight. His case is not only about what happened to one boy in 1990s Tucson. It is about a principle he will not surrender: that a person owns their body, their genetic profile, and the field of their own mind. No contractor, no unacknowledged program, and no agency may treat that as inventory.

That is the American nerve in him: not slogan patriotism, but the stubborn idea that government exists to answer to people, not to experiment on them in the dark and then classify the receipt. His work is still unfolding - appeals, sealed filings, an open criminal report he says has been stonewalled, a call for the kind of oversight last seen in the Church Committee era. Win or lose in any single courtroom, he has already done something rarer than victory. He has made a private catastrophe into a public claim of ownership.

Adam is a survivor who will not let survival be the end of the sentence. He is an advocate who treats other people’s silence as a problem he is willing to spend his life solving. He is a creator who learned that art can be evidence and evidence can be a kind of light. If the systems that touched his childhood counted on HIM forgetting, they miscounted the man who grew up. He remembers. He files. He speaks. And in doing so he hands the next generation a sentence they should never have to invent for themselves: “This body is mine. This mind is mine. You do not get to write the rest of the story without my consent.”
