They share their real story of moving from Mumbai to America, opening the first Indian restaurant in a small Texas town, and surviving COVID just 5 months after opening their doors.Rashmi grew up across four countries before landing in the US at age 16. She studied business at the University of Houston and won a $1,000 pitch contest with her idea for an Indian restaurant. But instead of jumping straight in, she first opened a French deli called Bonjour Texas. Customers kept asking her mom Neeta to cook Indian food, and that is how 7 Monks Cafe was born.
This is a story about family, food, faith, and never giving up !!
