Talk From Superheroes

This week we're talking about the new Street Fighter (that's set in 1993). We talk about fun, practical action, not expecting the anime influence to be literal, hit and miss casting, and unnecessary little creeps.

This week we're talking about the full season of Lanterns. We discuss how this show reached so many dads, the difference between character and plot, a bland mystery, stellar performances galore, and speaking uhp.

This week we're talking about when a Lantern was a mid-sized sedan, which of course means that we're talking about Old (The Beach That Makes You Old). We talk about if Shyamalan twists really matter, how normal humans are supposed to talk, and what is Mid-sized Sedan even a play on?

The Resident Evil franchise has seen a lot of different games and movies of wildly different styles over the years. This week we're talking about the 2026 film which in some ways combines them all. We get into self aware body horror, comedy doofuses, video game vibes, and the evil company that always fails up.

We're talking about another video game movie this week. The second in the series that leaves you more confused than the first, it's Silent Hill Revelation. We try to figure out the plan of the secret order, give respect to the costumes, puzzle over accents, and wonder how the hell they afforded this cast.

We're in a zombie kinda mood so we're going back to the true original with 1968's Night Of The Living Dead. We're talking about coming to get Barbara, socially progressive filming decisions we believe, and who was right about where to hide. WESTERN CANADA. There's Knightfall, but then there's Batman Knightfall: Part 1 Knightfall. The title so nice they named it twice. We're talking about pointy Batman, never really understanding what Azrael is about, Tim Drake finally getting some recognition and Bane being an absolute unit. WESTERN CANADA. See host Andrew Ivimey will be performing in Victoria, BC, Sept 10 - Vancouver, BC, Sept 15 - Winnipeg, MB,...

Find your favourite nemesis and strap yourself into a catapult to chase them because this week it's Coyote Vs Acme. We talk about the weird meta narrative of this movie even being released, honorary tunes, silent protagonists, and lying to your friends. WESTERN CANADA. See host Andrew Ivimey will be performing in Victoria, BC, Sept 10 - Vancouver, BC, Sept 15 - Winnipeg, MB, Sept 18

THEY'RE BACK! Sure they were only gone for a couple normal years but they're back this week as we talk about 2003's Looney Tunes Back In Action. We talk about Diana's soft spot for the tunes, awkward live action, a weird undertone of resentment for Space Jam, and mixing up your comedic Martins. WESTERN CANADA. See host Andrew Ivimey will be performing in Victoria, BC, Sept 10 - Vancouver, BC,...

Duh duh duh duh duh, duh duh. We're talking about season 2 of X-Men 97. We talk about never understanding Apocalypse, our problem with Jubilee, the merit of standalone episodes, and the morality of sacrifice. WESTERN CANADA. See host Andrew Ivimey will be performing in Victoria, BC, Sept 10 - Vancouver, BC, Sept 15 - Winnipeg, MB, Sept 18
