Rebuilding After War and Trauma: A Story By My Mother

In today's episode, I sit down with my most important guest yet: my mother. My mom details to me what it was like growing up in Tehran, living through the Islamic Revolution, the Iran-Iraq war, and the devastating execution of her brother, to then having to leave Iran to come to Canada.

From there, she details a new battle: rebuilding a life in a foreign country and raising two daughters in an unfamiliar culture. From my Mother, we learn that growth and life's beauty never stops, in fact its always just beginning.
