🎮 A little about the game
Breathedge 2 brings players back to the wonderfully ridiculous reaches of outer space for another first-person survival adventure from RedRuins Softworks. The ordinary Man returns alongside his AI spacesuit companion and, of course, the immortal Chicken—because apparently saving the galaxy with a chicken and an irresponsible amount of duct tape is still a perfectly reasonable plan.
This time, the Breathedge Corporation has kicked off a galaxy-wide war with an army of Coffinbots, leaving our unlikely hero caught in the middle. Exploration is a major part of the experience as you investigate abandoned stations, ruined settlements, shipwrecks, and other locations scattered across the fringes of inhabited space while trying to figure out exactly what went wrong.
Survival means scavenging resources, learning blueprints, crafting and upgrading equipment, repairing or dismantling machinery, and improving your spacesuit. Oxygen and temperature are among the dangers you'll have to keep an eye on when venturing into open space, and sometimes survival means fighting your way through trouble—or realizing that running is the considerably healthier option.
Breathedge 2 also retains the series' unusual sense of humor. Underneath the space survival, exploration, crafting, and action is a game perfectly willing to make fun of itself, its characters, and probably you if the opportunity presents itself.
For PC players, this is also the type of first-person experience where a keyboard and mouse can feel right at home. Quick mouse movement can make looking around and turning feel more immediate, while having movement, inventory, and other commands spread across the keyboard can be comfortable once you've settled into the controls. Controller support remains an option, so ultimately you can go with whichever setup feels best.
Breathedge 2 entered Early Access on August 31, 2026, with its first major story chapter, a large explorable area, and its core gameplay systems, while development continues.
So grab some supplies, check your oxygen, keep that Chicken nearby, and don't underestimate the value of duct tape. Space is already dangerous enough before Breathedge starts making jokes about it. 🚀🐔🪐
