We are living in a golden age of scam.
 
Or, according to actor Ben McKenzie and journalist Jacob Silverman, in their upcoming book Easy Money, a golden age of fraud.
 
 
Be it fraud or scam - the point is that deception will take you far in the world today. The election of George Santos to congress is a perfect example of this. The downfall of SBF, founder and former CEO of FTX, is another glearing example of the heights (and depths) scam and deception will take you in the world today.
 
 
Deception, unfortunately, is a valuable social currency.
