Moses retells their history to show God’s faithfulness, the fulfillment of His promises, and the tragic consequences of fearing obstacles more than trusting the God who goes before His people. The chapter ultimately presents a choice between the example of unbelieving Israel and the faithful example of Caleb, calling God’s people to trust and obey before the opportunity passes.
