"Immovable: The Power of Faithful Labor"

1 Corinthians 15:58

New Living Translation

58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord,
for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul encourages believers to stand firm and be steadfast in their faith: "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know
that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." This verse serves as a
powerful reminder of our commitment to God’s work, especially in a world filled with distractions and challenges.

Paul's message follows his discussion on the resurrection, emphasizing that our faith is grounded in the reality of Christ's victory over death (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). He urges us to remain unwavering in our faith, fully engaged in God’s mission, and reassured that our efforts contribute to His eternal kingdom. In life, we can liken this to a gardener who tends to his plants despite harsh weather. He knows that his
diligent work will yield a fruitful harvest. Similarly, our labor for the Lord, though sometimes challenging, will bear spiritual fruit and will never be in vain.
