"God's Unwavering Protection"
Psalm 91:9-14

9 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10 no evil will conquer you, no plague will come near your home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect you
wherever you go.12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. 13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! 14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
In Psalm 91, we find a powerful message of God’s protection and faithfulness. Verses 9-14 emphasize the assurance that comes from trusting in the Lord. The psalmist writes,
"If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent" (Psalm 91:9-10, NIV).
These verses remind us that our security lies in our relationship with God. When we declare Him as our
refuge, we are choosing to trust in His sovereignty and love. This is not a promise that danger will not exist, but rather that God will be with us in times of trouble. Verse 14 states, “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.”
This highlights the importance of love and acknowledgment of God’s name. In our lives, we face various challenges, but by leaning on God and affirming His presence, we are
assured of His protection. Let us remember that our faith is a shield against fear and adversity, and we can confidently approach Him in prayer.
