On Wednesday 24 September, Winton House was one of the organisations holding a coffee morning for Macmillan, the cancer support charity.
The topic was serious but the mood was light as people expressed their thanks to Macmillan. Some people had baked, volunteers served and everyone had cake!
Well nearly everyone; the Chair of Age Concern Petersfield, Rosemary Harris, admitted to starting her 5:2 diet that day so the cake was bought for tomorrow! She spoke about why Age Concern Petersfield was supporting Macmillan.
Mike Waddington spoke to people enjoying the atmosphere, meeting their friends and remembering - with cake!
Many related their own experiences of cancer and the support Macmilllan gave.
Almost £300 was raised.
Lawyers Mackarness and Lunt have theirs on Tuesday 30 September from 10am to 3pm, on the High Street.
