On the eve of Deepavali, the night turned ominous after a long bout of drinking. In his haze, he decided to cut some banana leaves for the next day’s rituals. What he didn’t realize was that he had disturbed a spirit dwelling nearby one that chose to teach him a lesson before dawn broke.
