GOP Rep. Doug LaMalfa Dies at 65; Machado Hails Trump for Capture of Maduro

Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.) died at the age of 65. “I want to express our tremendous sorrow [at the] the loss of a great member, great, great, great member, Congressman, Doug LaMalfa, who passed away yesterday, as you probably have heard,” President Donald Trump said in front of House GOP lawmakers at a retreat in Washington on Tuesday.

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado celebrated President Donald Trump for making the decision to capture Nicolás Maduro, in an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday. “January 3rd will go down in history as the day justice defeated tyranny,” Machado told host Sean Hannity. “It’s a milestone, and it’s not only huge for the Venezuelan people and our future, I think it’s a huge step for humanity, for freedom, and human dignity,” she said.
