A “Christian cult” is a category, not a recognition of true Christianity, as such groups often form around the misinterpretation of a man and a distortion of biblical truth.

The believer carries the responsibility to present a clear testimony of Jesus, both in lived experience and in the accurate handling of truth, especially when engaging with cult groups and addressing false representations of Christ.
