Lottery.con Episode 27 - Lotto Texas April 2023 Jackpot Heist Overstated by $1.8 million

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, just hours before the fraudulent Lotto Texas jackpot drawing, the jackpot estimate of $96 million was overstated by $1.8 million by Texas Lottery Officials. The final signature on the jackpot estimate form was then Lottery Director Gary Grief, who has since been indicted for the April 2023 Lotto Texas scheme. The inflated jackpot form resulted in the lottery scam organizers getting paid an extra $1.8 million, with those funds being diverted from the Texas Lottery School Fund.
