Kansas vs Baylor CRITICAL MATCHUPS & PLAYER WATCH | Can Jayhawks Beat Bears Despite Big 12 History?

Kansas Jayhawks seek an upset over Baylor Bears—can Isaiah Marshall and Cam Pickett spark the offense against Baylor’s elite defense? The conversation focused on critical matchups that could define Saturday’s clash in Lawrence, highlighting both teams’ explosive passing plays, inconsistent offensive consistency, and the field position battle driven by punting disparities and special teams performance.

A key theme that emerged was the importance of late-down conversions and limiting penalties, with DJ Lagway’s big-play ability and Gavin Freeman’s reliability in focus for Baylor. The discussion explored how Kansas’ battered offensive line and defensive struggles—especially Corey Gordon’s tackling issues—might shape the outcome. Matchups like LeVar Thornton vs. Nik McMillan and Koltin Sieracki vs. KU’s defensive tackles are set to be pivotal. Best bets, key player props, and potential touchdown wildcards round out this detailed preview of Kansas vs. Baylor. Can Kansas capitalize at home, or will Baylor’s efficiency win out?
