This song, recorded when my son was only seven, is a precious gem from a collection of recordings capturing the vibrant spirit of my children at every stage of their lives. As my son celebrates his 20th birthday on September 1, 2025, I revisit this recording, and it brings tears of joy and a pang of astonishment. His voice, brimming with the promise of endless possibilities, recalls a childhood filled with imagination. Yet, it also carries a bittersweet weight as I reflect on how the world—our chaotic lives, their schooling, and environments—may not have always provided the support they deserved. This song serves as a reminder of my accountability for their present and future, urging me to nurture the brilliance they still carry from those early, miraculous days.
