The Head to the FBI's New York field office is resisting efforts by Trump's Department of Justice officials to set up possible wrongful firings of FBI agents who investigated January 6 cases.

James Dennehy, the top NY FBI official and a former Marine, says they are "in a battle of their own" reminiscent of his days as a Marine when he "dug a small foxhole" and "hunkered down for safety." Denny added, "It sucked, but it worked."
This is another important point of light amidst the Trump-induced darkness.
