Theme : The transforming power of the cross

Text :Numbers 21:8-9 , John 3:14-16

On the Cross, there is freedom. On the Cross, there is healing. Yet, we cannot ignore that the Cross also bore profound suffering. Historically, it was an emblem of sin, execution, and deep shame. In ancient times, to be hung on a tree was to be declared accursed—a brutal practice reserved for the disgraced, alongside those left to perish in chains.

Because of this, many still stumble over the truth of Jesus. They ask, "How could the sinless, immaculate Son of God end up cursed on a tree?" They doubt His divinity because they misinterpret His destiny. But Christ did not hang there for His own wrongdoing; He stepped into that curse to break ours. He had to die so that we might live.

The Great Exchange

You cannot preach true salvation while bypassing the Cross. Anything outside the message of the Cross is questionable—because the Cross is the only way.

It was on that rough wooden frame that the ultimate transaction took place.

It was a divine exchange:

1.He took our shame; He gave us His glory.

2. He took our sickness; He gave us His healing.

3.He exchanged His very life to secure our eternal victory.

Look Up and Live

Because of what Jesus accomplished, you no longer need to depend on the empty promises of this world. You don’t need to beg for what has already been paid for. All you need to do is fix your eyes on the Cross.

When life presses in, look up to Jesus Christ ;the Author and Finisher of our faith. Look to the Cross, where the price was paid in full, and step into the victory that is already yours.
