About

Nachum hosted composer Yisroel Meth, along with singers Dovid Perlman and David Rotberg to debut “Tizakeinu,” an original chupah song that is trending and climbing the Jewish music charts as its positive message of striving to merit holiness touches the hearts of the many people who hear it.

The song, which broke the Top 40 on 24Six on its second day of release, was composed by Touro University senior and pre-law student Yisroel Meth of Clifton, NJ, and features vocal performances by two rising stars on the Jewish music scene: Touro graduate Dovid Pearlman (Lander College for Men, 2023) from Passaic, NJ, and Dovid Rotberg (a graduate of Heichal HaTorah and Netiv Aryeh), also of Passaic, NJ. The three young men have substantial followings on 24Six, Spotify and other digital music platforms.

“Under the chupah, a chosson and kallah pray to be worthy of Hashem’s blessings,” said Meth, who plays guitar, drums, bass and piano on the song. “In Jewish thought, the relationship between Hashem and the Jewish people is also fundamentally defined as a marriage. This is a timeless message that I wanted to celebrate.”

“This is a truly beautiful song,” said Pearlman. “I am very pleased to be part of it and happy that so many people appreciate it.”
