17 それから、イエスは、彼らとともに山を下り、平らな所にお立ちになったが、多くの弟子たちの群れや、ユダヤ全土、エルサレム、さてはツロやシドンの海べから来た大ぜいの民衆がそこにいた。
18 イエスの教えを聞き、また病気を直していただくために来た人々である。また、汚れた霊に悩まされていた人たちもいやされた。
19 群集のだれもが何とかしてイエスにさわろうとしていた。大きな力がイエスから出て、すべての人をいやしたからである。
20 イエスは目を上げて弟子たちを見つめながら、話しだされた。「貧しい者は幸いです。神の国はあなたがたのものだから。
21 いま飢えている者は幸いです。やがてあなたがたは満ち足りるから。いま泣く者は幸いです。やがてあなたがたは笑うから。
22 人の子のため、人々があなたがたを憎むとき、あなたがたを除名し、辱め、あなたがたの名をあしざまにけなすとき、あなたがたは幸いです。
23 その日には喜びなさい、おどり上がって喜びなさい。天ではあなたがたの報いは大きいから。彼らの父祖たちも、預言者たちに同じことをしたのです。

17 He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, 18 who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, 19 and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
20 Looking at his disciples, he said:“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
