Dr Asburn Pinnock, the transformational president of the Mico University College in Jamaica, is preparing the institution to strengthen its role in training teachers for the nation and other countries.
He's set to fast-track the ‘smart classroom, smart college’ concept, targeting candidates from the Caribbean, North America, and Europe.
Additionally, the educator wants the Government to re-energize its scholarship initiative to get more males into the classroom; and to pursue bilateral initiatives to benefit Jamaica financially from the migration of the nation’s teachers.
As Jamaica commemorates 60 years as an independent nation, Dr. Pinnock, in this episode of Impacting Jamaica, talks with host Luke Douglas, about the Mico University College’s role in the transformation of education into the future.
