Pursuit of God's presence 4 | Our God is fire

1 Kings 17

When you come from the presence of God, you gain the boldness to confront what other people run away from. When you pursue the presence of God you will not fear the presence of men. Learn to pour out your heart before God. God has already given you authority; everything you bind will be stopped.   

We forfeit peace and carry needless pain simply because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. We sit and say we are waiting on God however; there are certain things that God is also waiting on us to do, i.e. obey the last word He spoke to us. You are the body of Christ stop asking Jesus to go save that brother; He has given us His power that we may go forth. You are His hands and feet; Christ is seated at the right hand of the father. He already did all that He needed to do for us to walk in His power and authority.   

He left the Holy Spirit with us; He lives on the inside of us. When we stay in the presence of God, we become the carriers of the glory of God, so that we may be able to bring healing to the sick and deliverance to the oppressed.    

We need to stay in communion with the Holy Spirit to exercise the power He has made available to us and walk in His grace. We cannot express the love of the father unless we have communion with the Holy Spirit. Until you abide in the presence of God, you will not be able to challenge the Ahabs in your life.
