MORE ABOUT OUR HOST - ANNABEL WHITFORD
Annabel Whitford is the Administrator of the Adelaide University Theatre Guild, keeping the wheels turning with wit, warmth, and a well-organised spreadsheet. An occasional stage manager with a soft spot for the spotlight, she sometimes steps (or dances) onstage herself - when she’s not behind a microphone hosting the odd podcast.
MORE ABOUT THE TAMING OF THE SHREW
In this sharp reimagining of The Taming of the Shrew, Paradise is a powerhouse record label and the battlefield is the charts. Bianca is the next global pop export, polished and playlist-ready - but her outspoken sister Kate, a rock chick who won’t soften her edges, stands in the way. Enter Petruchio: part entrepreneur, part opportunist, determined to “woo” and rebrand the label’s most “untameable” artist.
Fast, funny, and theatrical, with Shakespeare’s original language colliding against today’s music industry, this Shrew asks: is Kate being tamed, or is she playing the game better than them all? In an industry built on image, who really gets the final cut?
