Ru: В небольшой городок пришла зима.
En: Winter arrived in the small town.
Ru: Всё вокруг было укутано в снежное одеяло.
En: Everything around was wrapped in a snowy blanket.
Ru: Воздух пахнул свежестью и ёлками.
En: The air smelled of freshness and pine trees.
Ru: Сквозь окна домов пробивалось тёплое свечение гирлянд, готовясь к Новому году.
En: Warm glows from strings of lights shone through the windows of homes, preparing for Novy god.
Ru: В доме Николая царила суета.
En: In Nikolai's house, there was a flurry of activity.
Ru: Семья готовилась к зимнему фестивалю.
En: The family was getting ready for the winter festival.
Ru: Николай, глава семьи, очень любил традиции.
En: Nikolai, the head of the family, loved traditions very much.

En: Nikolai shook his head.
Ru: "Новые традиции — это риск," ответил он.
En: "New traditions are a risk," he replied.
Ru: "Мы не должны забывать наши корни.
En: "We shouldn't forget our roots."
Ru: "Однако Ольга не сдавалась.
En: However, Olga didn't give up.
Ru: Она хотела устроить световое шоу и добавить новые блюда на стол.
En: She wanted to organize a light show and add new dishes to the table.
Ru: Долго они спорили, пока не вмешался Максим, дядя Ольги.
En: They argued for a long time until Maksim, Olga's uncle, intervened.
Ru: Он всегда был тем, кто мог уравновесить обе стороны.
En: He was always the one who could balance both sides.
Ru: "Николай, может быть, стоит послушать Ольгу?
En: "Nikolai, maybe it's worth listening to Olga?"
Ru: " осторожно начал Максим.
En: Maksim began cautiously.
Ru: "Иногда новое — это хорошо.
En: "Sometimes new things are good."
Ru: "Николаю не понравилось это предложение.
En: Nikolai didn't like this suggestion.
