Ru: На широкой ледяной равнине, где шумят ветры, донося запахи снега и льда, тихо стоят два человека.
En: On the wide icy plain, where the winds roar, carrying the scents of snow and ice, two people stand quietly.
Ru: Это Катя и Михаил.
En: It's Katya and Mikhail.
Ru: Они прибыли на север, чтобы повидаться с отцом, которого не видели много лет.
En: They have come to the north to see their father, whom they haven't seen for many years.
Ru: Простая деревянная избушка их ожидала, маленькая, но светлая, посреди белой пустоты.
En: A simple wooden hut awaited them, small but bright, in the middle of the white void.
Ru: Катя, укутанная в теплый шерстяной шарф, тревожно смотрела на брата.
En: Katya, wrapped in a warm woolen scarf, looked anxiously at her brother.
Ru: Она знала, что отцу будет нелегко, но желала понять, почему он так далеко ушел от мира.
En: She knew that it would not be easy for their father, but she wanted to understand why he had moved so far from the world.
