Ru: Летний день в деревне был жарким и солнечным.
En: A summer day in the village was hot and sunny.
Ru: Друзья — Дмитрий, Катя и Сергей — приехали на дачу, чтобы отдохнуть от городской суеты.
En: Friends — Dmitry, Katya, and Sergey — had come to the dacha to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Ru: Кругом шумел летний ветерок, листья трепетали на ветру, а птички щебетали весело.
En: All around, the summer breeze rustled, the leaves fluttered in the wind, and the birds chirped merrily.
Ru: Дача была старой, соскрипывали деревянные полы, а в кухне стоял старинный самовар.
En: The dacha was old, with creaky wooden floors, and a vintage samovar stood in the kitchen.
Ru: Дмитрий, заядлый любитель народной истории, заметил его первым.
En: Dmitry, an avid enthusiast of folk history, noticed it first.

Ru: — Почему бы не попробовать сделать в нём чай?
En: "Why not try making tea in it?"
Ru: Дмитрий был полон решимости.
En: Dmitry was determined.
Ru: Он знал, что в старинных книгах говорится о травах, усиливающих волшебство самовара.
En: He knew that ancient books told of herbs that enhanced the magic of the samovar.
Ru: Он решил использовать их и попросил Сергея сходить за водой к ручью.
En: He decided to use them and asked Sergey to fetch some water from the stream.
Ru: Когда Сергей вернулся с водой, друзья разожгли огонь под самоваром.
En: When Sergey returned with the water, the friends lit a fire under the samovar.
Ru: Однако труба протекала, и дрова быстро закончились.
En: However, the pipe leaked, and the wood quickly ran out.
