En: Mateus looked at the large old structure of the abandoned warehouse, surrounded by the cold winter fog in São Paulo.

En: He felt a chill run up his spine, but it wasn't solely because of the cold.

En: "I need to prove that I'm not crazy," he thought, remembering the strange shadows and whispers he swore he'd heard coming from there the night before.

En: Rafaela and Lucas were by his side, hesitant.

Pb: “É mesmo necessário, Mateus?
En: "Is it really necessary, Mateus?"

En: asked Rafaela, with her arms crossed, trying to warm herself.

En: Lucas, quieter, just nodded, looking at the building with wide eyes.

Pb: “É perigoso”, completou Lucas.
En: "It's dangerous," Lucas added.

Pb: Mateus acenou com a cabeça, determinado.
En: Mateus nodded, determined.

Pb: “Eu entendo se vocês quiserem esperar aqui.
En: "I understand if you want to wait here.

Pb: Mas tenho que entrar.
En: But I have to go in.

En: I need to see what that is," he stated firmly.

En: Rafaela sighed, but couldn't hide the worry in her eyes.

Pb: “Cuidado,” disse ela.
En: "Be careful," she said.

En: With that, Mateus took a deep breath and headed towards the rusty door of the warehouse, which creaked as it opened.

Pb: Dentro do galpão, a escuridão era densa.
En: Inside the warehouse, the darkness was thick.

Pb: Mateus ligou a lanterna que trouxera.
En: Mateus turned on the flashlight he had brought.

Pb: Os feixes de luz iluminavam velhas bandeirinhas coloridas de Festa Junina, algumas ainda penduradas no teto.
En: The beams of light illuminated old Festa Junina colorful flags, some still hanging from the ceiling.

Pb: O chão estava coberto de restos de decorações e papéis amassados.
En: The floor was covered with remnants of decorations and crumpled papers.

Pb: Ele notou a brisa que entrava pelas janelas quebradas, fazendo as bandeirinhas tremularem.
En: He noticed the breeze coming in through the broken windows, making the flags flutter.

Pb: De repente, os sussurros recomeçaram, e Mateus travou.
En: Suddenly, the whispers started again, and Mateus froze.

En: With his heart racing, he followed the sound until he found an old radio semi-hidden under a table.

En: There was static, mixed with distant laughter and music typical of a party.

Pb: O vento e o rádio explicavam tudo.
En: The wind and the radio explained everything.

En: With a triumphant smile, Mateus turned off the radio and went back to Rafaela and Lucas.

Pb: “Está tudo bem!
En: "It's all okay!"

Pb: ” gritou, ao se aproximar dos amigos.
En: he shouted as he approached his friends.

Pb: “Era só um rádio e o vento!
En: "It was just a radio and the wind!

Pb: Nada mais.
En: Nothing more."

Pb: ”Rafaela e Lucas deram risadas, aliviados.
En: Rafaela and Lucas laughed, relieved.

Pb: Mateus os convidou a entrar no galpão.
En: Mateus invited them to enter the warehouse.

Pb: “Vamos fazer algo legal aqui,” sugeriu.
En: "Let's do something fun here," he suggested.

Pb: “Podemos arrumar as decorações e ter a nossa própria Festa Junina.
En: "We can rearrange the decorations and have our own Festa Junina."

Pb: ”Lucas pegou algumas bandeirinhas do chão, começando a pendurá-las novamente.
En: Lucas picked up some flags from the floor, starting to hang them up again.

En: Rafaela was already searching through the bags for something that could turn into party food.

En: Soon, the old warehouse was filled with laughter and music, with cell phone lights illuminating the space.

En: Mateus realized that sometimes, sharing moments and laughter with friends was more valuable than any solitary discovery.

En: He smiled, satisfied not only for having solved the mystery but also for having created a happy memory with his friends.

En: The improvised party warmed their hearts on that cold winter night, filling the place with life and joy.
