News story This Friday is Matariki, the Māori New Year. The theme this year is Matariki herenga waka, or Matariki for everyone. It is about inclusion and encouraging all people to celebrate Matariki together. If you want to learn more about Matariki, listen to the stories from 2025 and 2024.
