La colaboración entre John Williams y "The President's Own" United States Marine Band representa la unión de dos de los grandes referentes de la música estadounidense. Fundada en 1798, la banda de los Marines de los Estados Unidos es la formación musical profesional más antigua del país y recibe el sobrenombre de "The President's Own" porque, desde los tiempos de Thomas Jefferson, ha servido como la banda oficial del presidente de los Estados Unidos, participando en ceremonias de Estado, inauguraciones presidenciales y actos oficiales de la Casa Blanca.
En este programa es un recopilatorio donde puedes escuchar tres conciertos interpretados en el Kennedy Center en los que Williams ha conducido al "The President's Own". El primer volumen es un concierto celebrado el 12 de julio de 2003, el segundo el 20 de julio de 2008 y el último el 16 de julio de 2023 en los que el maestro contaba con 91 años.
