About
D4vd Biography Flash a weekly Biography.

D4vd, the 20-year-old singer whose real name is David Anthony Burke, remains at the center of an ongoing murder investigation following the discovery of a dismembered body in a Tesla registered to him. According to the Los Angeles Times, a Los Angeles grand jury has been hearing the case, with recent court filings officially characterizing the matter as an investigation into murder, though the LAPD has publicly declined to call the death a homicide. The body was identified as Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old girl who had run away from her Lake Elsinore home multiple times in 2024. The two met through social media, and law enforcement sources indicate she resided at a rental home with the singer.

The Tesla was discovered abandoned on Bluebird Avenue in the Hollywood Hills after being parked there since late July. A tow yard worker noticed a foul smell and alerted police. When authorities impounded and examined the vehicle, they found Celeste's decomposed body placed in a bag in the front trunk. According to ABC News and other outlets covering the investigation, D4vd is now considered a suspect by law enforcement.

Detectives have been working for months to trace Celeste's final movements. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner was barred by court order from disclosing details about her death. Investigators have searched the Hollywood Hills home where D4vd lived, removing electronic devices and other items. Reports indicate the LAPD has evidence that D4vd traveled to Santa Barbara County in the spring, though authorities say this has drawn no conclusions about its relevance to the case.

D4vd's entire "Withered" world tour has been effectively halted. According to multiple sources including ABC News and Economic Times, the final North American dates, including performances scheduled for San Francisco on September 19 and Los Angeles on September 20, were canceled. At least nine European dates have also been canceled on Ticketmaster, including his first scheduled stop in Norway on October 1. A Grammy Museum appearance in Los Angeles was also removed from the venue's website.

An unnamed representative for D4vd told NBC Los Angeles that the singer has been cooperating with authorities since the body was discovered. However, LAPD representatives stated they have not sought the performer's cooperation, creating conflicting accounts about his involvement.
