Ep. 202 | Rodeo, Tradition, and What It Means to Love America (Guest: Caleb DeJarnatt)

Counteract Podcast

About

Happy America 250! On this episode, Abigail is joined by her brother Caleb DeJarnatt (who drinks multiple Dr. Peppers throughout the course of this episode) for a Fourth of July conversation about America's 250th birthday, their hometown rodeo, and why traditions like this one shape our love for our community and our country.

This one is a little more lighthearted, but carries a real point. Caleb and Abigail talk through the creation mandate, what it looks like to celebrate a country without putting our hope in it, and why traditions (not trends) are what hold families and communities together. They land on a simple challenge: think about what you love about where you live, and how you can steward that well while pointing people back to Jesus.
